Moore Stuff

Lots of July 4th deals this week:

CompUSA:

• 300GB Seagate hard drive $120 ($150 - $30 MIR). 40¢ per GB with a small rebate. Not bad if you need a big drive.
• 160GB Seagate SATA hard drive $60 ($100 - $40 MIR). 37.5¢ per GB is better, but has a bigger rebate, and is SATA only.
• 350VA APC UPS $20 ($35 - $15 MIR). Excellent little battery backup to give you time to shutdown safely in case of power outage (1-2 mins of power, tops). I have several of these.
• Antec Super Lanboy Case $50 ($80 - $30 MIR). Antec cases have excellent workmanship. When you can find a deal on one, I say grab it.

Circuit City:

• 160GB Western Digital SATA hard drive $40 ($100 - $30 Mfr. MIR - $30 CC MIR). Ad says its SATA II, but site says only SATA. Either way, a good deal at only 25¢ per GB.
• 512MB Sandisk USB thumb drive $20. No rebates, awesome! The best deal of the week!

Office Depot:

• 512MB Sandisk USB thumb drive $10 ($35 - $12 MIR - $13 OD MIR). Same thing as CC, but more rebates. I’d personally go for the CC one myself, but its up to you.
• 100GB Maxtor hard drive $30 ($90 - $60 MIR). The worst of the hard drive deals on this page, IMO. Only 33¢ per GB, a giant $60 rebate, and the hard drive’s kinda small at 100 GBs. But, its the cheapest drive on this page.
• VTech 2.4GHz cordless phone with CallerID $3 ($18 - $15 MIR). Good price for a cordless phone.
